Cairns

We went out on the great barrier reef for abit of a snorkel and Al did some diving for the first time. He did an intro dive and then a second dive which he went down to 12m. He was very excited about it all. You can see the picture of him and nemo. I had forgotten how beautiful the reef actually is. We got to see lots of fish big and small and the colours of the fish alone was amazing and "we" meaning "me" managed to spot a reef shark, how exciting... however i nearly drowned myself trying to tell al and show him before he missed it. It is definitely a must do in OZ. Now of course Al is planning on getting his PADI open water certification and i'm not sure if it's for pleasure or a bit of keeping up with Ginger (probably a bit of both).
