Sky Diving - Jacquie's Story
SKYDIVE - YES we did it, we booked ourselves in to do a sky dive, some of the other girls on the bus were discussing about doing a sky dive and as i have already jumped out at 14,000ft in Oz, i was interested to do it again, WHY you ask, Erm i dunno know the answer to that but anyway mentioned it to Al and of course if I'm doing it Al has to have a go as well, he will not be out done by me, i think it's male ego or something EH!
ANYWAY off we went to jump out at 12,000 ft but when we arrived we learned that 15,000 is the highest tandem in the world, OF COURSE we had to do the HIGHEST so that's what we signed up for. So we got suited up in our little red & white jumpsuits, Al's was very very little then got our harnesses on and off we went in our little plane, a few jumped out at 12,000ft, only 3 of us jumped at 15,000. My dive master had put on my oxygen mask and was pumping me full of that, Al was most upset that he didn't get any.

Al jumped before me no fear shown he really is hard core, i was slightly wetting my pants as i knew exactly what was to come i was the last to leave the plane as usual, so out we went 65 sec free-fall and the most magnificent view you could ever imagine, all of lake taupo, Torriango National Park including Mt Ngauruhoe aka Mt Doom from Lord of the rings, it was just amazing.

Everyone had landed and was sitting waiting for me to land, we took our time coming down. Al reckons my landing was so good that i looked like superman just touching down, they all landed on their asses where as i landed on my feet. WELL i guess being a PRO now what else did they all expect !
What an adrenaline rush, you are literally shaking when you touch down, it is a slightly scary wonderful feeling and definitely my last time to jump out of a perfectly good plane :-}
