Jacquie And Al's World Tour

Here you'll find the latest ramblings as I travel the world with my other half Jacquie. God only know's what wonderful sights we'll see, what fanastic diseases we'll catch (i'm personally hoping for avian flu), life altering experiences etc etc. So stay tuned as the adventure unfolds. Oh and for some fun, you can also interact with us as we travel with a version of "Where's Wally?" called "Where's Bear ?" On some pictures a little yellow bear might appear. Can you see him ?

Singapore

We arrived into singpore via a VIP bus, which was fab compared to what we have travelled on. We got a taxi to our hostel which we discovered had no reservation for us and wanted to put us in a dorm room which i swear to god had about 40 beds in it, so that was a big NO.

We found this other Hostel down the road. Only 2 months opened and got a bed there, this hostel is the nicest i think we have stayed in, it's so new and nice, but on my first night looking out the window of the room (by the way we are staying in little india) i looked into a massive bin and after studying for a bit i called al over to the window to see if he saw what i could see and wait for it folk...... The bin was full of dead Goats, yes you read correct, GOATS full of them, heads with big anklers on them, Goats, so that was a not so pleasant surprise, but little india is a wicked place and we went for an indian suprise on our first night here, we also managed a few drinks down the road in the prince of wales, run by an aussie guy and managed to get chatting to this aussie guy Luke and Craig from Newcastle who was a very nice young man.

We also went to Sentosa, it's another little island we had to get a cable car to it and the famous "Merlion" is there, it turned out to be a bit crap really, but we did manage to get to the "most southern point of Aisa" so that was cool, we also went to chinatown as it's also chinese new year at the moment and managed to have some not so nice food there off one the hawker stalls, there was some pretty wierd stuff on some the stalls.

So the weather has't been great here in singapore while we have been here but then again it is the rainy season. So we are off to New Zealand next. So keep posted for the updates from the land of Kiwis. There is also some new pictures for you to look at. :-}
